AINEKA 700C track carbon fixie single speed wheelset SA-T01
Within the cycling community, the mechanical and functional differences between fixed-gear (single-speed) bicycles and traditional freewheel bicycles are widely recognized. Fixed-gear bicycles operate on a direct-drive mechanism that mandates continuous pedaling, eliminating the need for any gear-shifting components or adjustments. This track-optimized wheelset configuration eliminates the potential for gear slippage under high-speed pedaling loads, thereby achieving exceptional energy transmission efficiency—ensuring a 1:1 conversion rate between pedal input and forward propulsion. In addition to their technical advantages, fixed-gear bicycles have gained widespread popularity due to their iconic retro design language. Whether deployed for urban commuting, competitive track racing, or leisure riding, they exhibit a distinctive visual appeal that resonates strongly with style-oriented cycling enthusiasts.
Equipped with Novatec dual-sided hubs, our wheelsets boast a game-changing dual-mode design. Threaded sections on both sides of the rear hub enable seamless switching between fixed-gear and freewheel/single-speed modes—no extra tools or complex modifications needed, just flip the rear wheel.
- Fixed-gear mode: Wheel rotation syncs perfectly with pedaling, delivering direct, responsive power transfer ideal for skill refinement and speed bursts.
- Single-speed mode: Mount the freewheel on the designated hub side, flip the wheel, and you’re set. Pedals stay stationary during glides, offering a smooth, relaxed ride for commutes and leisure outings.
